| Trilogy Overview The Consecration is the chronicles of the Keepers, an immortal race divinely charged to guard the gates of encroaching Chaos. Their families long ago murdered, only seven of the Keepers survive: six children and their savior, the lone adult Keeper who shelters and protects them from many devastating secrets. Keeper history and their roles in the universe lost to them, the now grown children strive by trial-of-fire to learn and become whom they really are, how to perform their crucial mission, and retain the Order of the universe.
The Consecration - Book 1 Story Overview The Consecration discovers CRYSTAL DRAKE, a young woman whose nightmares lead her to a race of Immortals calling themselves the Keepers who seek their lost wife, sister, and cousin. Crystal is very sure it's a mistaken identity. She does not belong to these people. But Alex pulls the "checkmate" that allows no turning back. She'd despise him with all her heart if she didn't love him.The Consecration launches a born conqueror, ALEXANDER CASSADINE, coming of age to avenge the executions of his entire race, and to regain the Keepers' throne and birthright. Alexander will go quite far to take control of Crystal, his confused bride and disarmed princess, even play very dirty with the rules. There isn't a thing in the universe that will stand against him putting the Keepers back together. Especially not the serial killer who's stalking his displaced wife, knowing she's a Keeper when even Crystal does not know. Alexander will see to it that the end of the butcher will be the first Keeper triumph, until Alexander learns there's an unawakened Keeper Nicholas, Crystal's brother, trapped inside the murderer's soul. That complicates things exponentially. The psychopath isn't going to release Nicholas until he's spilt the blood of every living Keeper. Alexander isn't about to give him the opportunity. But, how will Alex release the Keeper? The Consecration bemoans the tribulations of a demented mind embattled with two personalities, Nicholas, an unawakened Keeper held hostage by Vermillion, a mortal madman who plots to murder all of the Keepers for inducing his insanity. Vermillion holds Nicki with daily injections of a poisonous drug that will kill them both, anything to prevent the Keeper from taking his body. The Consecration exposes the cyclic collision of multi-verses, risking the release of all Chaos and Evil to feed upon the living mortal worlds. The crossing is approaching and inflicting universal effects, even the weakening of the gate the Keepers must safeguard, but don't yet possess the long-lost knowledge to protect. The second generation of orphaned Keepers aren't aware of the crossing, nor are they aware of the natural phenomenon's warping effects on the Keepers themselves. When they finally learn the truth of it, they discover they've made mistakes they'll have to live with for an eternity. Even now, the crossing allows Chaos the ability to reach a venomous mortal soul close to the Keepers, a mortal who plans to extract a great price for her anger at a Keeper's rejection, and she'll deal with the Devil to have her way.
What unseen hand causes all the Keepers to lose their discernment, allowing such long-buried resentments to fester so feverishly that battles break out within their own family? What permanent repercussions will they all suffer because of it? A dangerous ritual risks royal lives. An unlawful pregnancy is brought on by jealousy. A mercy killing is harshly punished. Chaos awaits its release with baited breath to destroy the remaining Keepers, infiltrate the universe, and reek torture and pain, horror and death to every living creature ... *** |
