Mind-Blown is one of those rare books that will stand out as one of the best books I think I've ever read, and I don't mean this lightly. Have you ever seen a movie and then read the book? And the book is so much better than the movie? This book is better than the movie, and a movie hasn't even been made from it yet!
Mind-Blown is about a woman named Holly who was looking for a job in a bad economy. She ends up hired as a medical billing coder for a company called TDG. She ends up an executive assistant to the man who had hired her for the position, Jon. Typical story to start with. There is a secret medical "sleep testing" facility side to the building they work in and a special medical clinic is set up for the employees. After Jon is instructed to fire employees who refused a "flu shot" that turned out not to be a flu shot, things really begin to look fishy. To find out more about what is going on, Holly volunteers for one of the "tests" being performed at the clinic. The story goes into mind control, micro-chipping of people, and drug testing done on people without their knowledge. Toss in possible CIA ties, secret records, and you have one hell of a story!
This page turner grabbed my interest early and kept me reading. The characters are well fleshed out, and the author tells a very adventurous, and almost too real story of something that could actually happen. There is a bit of romance in the book, and even the hook of the character Jon possibly using some of the mind control on Holly to gain her interest. I cannot recommend this book highly enough! I enjoyed every word of it! Don't pass this one up!

If you are searching for a romance novel mixed with action, adventure, and mind control, look no further than Michele Hart's Mind-Blown. Ms. Hart breathes new life into the "woman falls for her boss" story line, which is incredibly refreshing and quite exciting. Ms. Hart moves beyond the typical romance and gives us plot twists that are sure to make your eyes pop out and your jaw drop in surprise. You truly can't predict what will happen next, and that kept me glued to the book, flipping the pages as if they would evaporate any second.
I would describe Michele Hart's writing style as "Smart Romance". Ms. Hart doesn't shy away from introducing you to some of the latest technology in micro-chipping and mind control. The high-tech gadgets add dimension to the novel, highlighting--never overshadowing--the fledging relationship between Holly and Jon.
Ms. Hart's ability to craft three-dimensional characters does not go unnoticed. You will instantly fall in love with Holly Maddox's sassy, outgoing attitude, her devotion to her family, as well as her ability to warm the hearts of the toughest scientists at TDG. Jon Paige, Holly's devilishly handsome boss, is everything a man should be: honest, confident, funny, considerate, and persistent. Holly and Jon are the type of people you work with, go out with, and can see yourself being friends with, which makes it that much easier to immerse yourself into this title.
There are some interesting ethical dilemmas in this novel. Jon has the opportunity to tamper with Holly's subliminal message folder. Will he do it? Will TDG micro-chip their employees? Are scientists working for the betterment of science? Are employees who they say they are? Will Holly fall for Jon despite TDG's no-fraternization policy? Oh, my lips are sealed! You will have to read Mind-Blown to get the answers to these questions. Michele Hart has a winner on her hands, and you should definitely go grab a copy for an exciting and indulgent read!
Mind-Blown is a sci-fi thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. The idea of a corporation influencing the minds of its employees and preying upon their need for an income was upsetting and believable... Jon and Holly's relationship progressed at a believable rate, and I enjoyed the give and take between the characters. I also really liked the scene where Jon convinces Holly to dress provocatively to distract the security guards while he broke into the company...
Nights and Weekends Reviews
Author Michele Hart knows how to develop her characters, from Holly and Jon to the obsessed Dr. Ramirez. You'll see how the doctor's methods alienate the other characters-and you'll feel their dread when they interact with her. It's mind-blowing to imagine what this doctor is trying to accomplish, but it's even more mind-blowing that she thinks she's going to get away with it.
The suspense of it all is thrilling. Mind-Blown is definitely a page-turner-or, I suppose, a "page-scroller," since it's an e-book. I stayed up late reading it, just to find out what would happen next. For those of you who have never read a romantic thriller, give this one a try-it might just blow your mind.
Happily Ever After Reviews
Michele Hart's characters are well written, completely believable, and relatable. Dr. Josephina Demarco Ramirez is in charge of sleep studies, and is using them to continue her grandfather's work, developing a mind control method for the CIA. The paranoia and possible insanity of Dr. Ramirez, make this scenario all too possible. She has effectively cut herself off from the outside world and completely immersed herself in her work. Her delusions and total disregard for human life make her a truly frightening villain, but also give glimpses into what her life could have been if she hadn't been corrupted by power and hatred. As it is a once promising doctor now holds no regard for human life, "Life comes and goes in too great a volume to be considered rare."
The chemistry between Jon and Holly is apparent from the beginning, their witty banter and shared tragic history connects them in a way that purely physical attraction would never do. So amongst all the breaking and entering, and disguises, the two of them venture into a relationship that could be as dangerous as the people they are up against. Jon and Holly are simply two good people who have stumbled upon a grave injustice and are doing their best to fix it. Each of them struggles with their own personal demons and fears, like the rest of the world trying to do the right thing and occasionally messing up along the way. The deeper they go to find the truth, the more they risk. The snappy dialogue and intense situations pulls you in and completely blow your mind. Michele Hart's Mind-Blown is a spine tingling thriller, complete with armature sleuthing, mind control, shadowy government agencies, and unethical doctors. A veritable rollercoaster of conspiracy, paranoia, and just a touch of romance.
Mind-Blown by Michele Hart is a sci-fi thriller/romance that kept me on my toes...a romance novel mixed with action and adventure, not typical because of the engaging plot twists and corporate idealizations. You won't be able to predict what is coming next. The story contains some of the latest technology and the author's use of high-tech gadgets adds a new field of mind-boggling thoughts to follow. Author Michele Hart develops her characters in a believable fashion.
You will fall in love with Holly Maddox's outgoing style. You can just imagine being a friend of Holly's and her boss. Jon's and Holly's relationship matures quickly keeping you intrigued. Jon tampers with Holly's subliminal message folder. Micro-chipping is an idea that makes you wonder if that can be tampered with as well. Can it?
You can and will dread what is coming next because of the ethical dilemmas this novel involves your mind with to say the least...Mind-Blown tells us of corporate and government control of the general population. You can't believe what the micro-chipping topic brings to the table in any type of conversation. Fear grips me that micro-chipping technology has been available for a while, and Mind-Blown takes you there and...makes you succumb to the thought that this can happen or might have already happened, and I don't like this idea.
The suspense is mind-chilling. ...A lot of the corporate happenings written here are true to our lives. You'll continue reading this novel every second you have available. I kept it with me so that I could continue reading it anytime I had a minute or two.e or two.
Although this may not be an original thought...Mind-Blown blows your mind!
